The Cauldron Financial Transparency Statement

Money is energy. In sacred work, it is also relationship, reciprocity, and responsibility. We believe that speaking openly and transparently about finances is an essential part of ethical, grounded, and sustainable healing work.

We acknowledge that there often is confusion around money in healing and spiritual spaces. Yes, there certainly are people exploiting pain, trauma, and spiritual longing for personal gain. That energy is not a part of this container. Money is a complex, yet necessary resource in the late-stage capitalistic world we are living in. In The Cauldron, we speak of financial exchange with intention, clarity, and reverence, honoring it as part of the sacred web of reciprocity that makes this work possible.

Change in the Cauldron's Pay Structure

In the past, this work has been offered at a much lower cost, and on a tiered basis. While this did allow more access to the program, it came with significant physical, emotional, financial and health costs to Anu and our facilitators. While it is a core value to be able to redistribute wealth in this business, the previous model was not sustainable. At this point in our lives and business, we can no longer offer The Cauldron without aligned and balanced financial reciprocity.

Please know that increasing The Cauldron's tuition structure is not about maximizing profit. It is about orienting to win-win conditions where our team can truly thrive and not burn out while holding this intensive, powerful and sacred work. You deserve facilitators who are resourced enough to show up fully, multidimensionally, and with care. We cannot do that if we are not able to support ourselves, our bodies, and our lives.

Our team consists of chronically ill, neurodivergent, queer, and trans and single parent facilitators navigating the same pressures of late-stage capitalism as everyone else: rising food costs, soaring healthcare expenses, housing instability. We know that money and finances are tight for everyone in our community. We are also trying to survive in the same systems, while offering work that we deeply believe helps heal individuals, communities, and the world, one heart and circle at a time.

The Cauldron is the primary energetic and financial driver of Fire in the Belly Alchemy. It supports not only the retreats themselves, but the year-long preparation, integration, care, and unseen labor that allows this work to be held with integrity.

Program Cost Breakdown

The base cost of attending The Cauldron is $3,800.

This covers tangible, direct base expenses including:

  • Housing and lodging

  • All meals and food preparation

  • Printing, supplies, ritual materials, and medicine

  • Hosting platforms, administrative tools, and transaction fees

The remaining $6,199 supports the labor, visioning, planning, creating and facilitation of the full program, including:

  • 12 days of in-person retreat time

  • 8 preparation and integration circles

  • 9 monthly group circles

  • Ongoing online temple space activity, weekly posts, and facilitation

  • Travel and care costs for facilitators

  • Office space rental costs

Even with this structure, the program remains under market value. Comparable offerings that provide fewer retreat days, less integration, and far less relational care are often priced between $12,000–$20,000.

Resource Redistribution & Collective Care

Resource and wealth redistribution is a core value of Fire in the Belly Alchemy. Whenever possible, we prioritize supporting local small businesses, women-owned businesses, queer and trans-owned businesses, and BIPOC-owned businesses.

Our vision is not only to support ourselves and our families, but to generate enough stability to redistribute resources toward organizations that resist fascism, protect vulnerable communities, protect and give back to the Earth, offer reparations to Indigenous and Black communities, and work toward collective liberation. However, this dream cannot be realized without a reciprocal financial return that supports a steady and sustainable quality of life first.

Scholarships, Work-Trade & Access

Scholarships and work-trade opportunities are deeply important to us. Neither Anu nor this work would exist in its current form without the support of scholarships and work-trade access along the way. Offering these opportunities is one way we seek to pay our privilege and blessings forward.

This year, we are offering:

  • One partial work-trade Kitchen Maven position

  • One partial needs-based scholarship for folks who identify as queer, trans, BIPOC, single parents, or otherwise historically marginalized

We want to be transparent that at this time, our business and personal capacity allow us to offer only these two positions. While we believe this work should be accessible to anyone who feels called, we are not currently financially resourced to offer additional scholarships without additional support.

The Fire in the Belly Scholarship Fund

To expand access beyond our current capacity, we are creating the Fire in the Belly Alchemy Scholarship Fund.

If you are a financially resourced person who benefits from social, racial or economic privilege, and who does not experience ongoing political or economic targeting or financial instability, we invite you to consider donating to the scholarship fund.

We know this work changes lives. Having access to a thriving community, medicine work, and deep spiritual expansion is something that everyone who is ready for this magic should be granted access to. If you believe in the power of this work, and feel called to directly support access for someone who is not currently able to afford it, we invite you to contribute.

Donations to this fund go directly toward supporting participants who are ready for this work but face financial barriers.

This is one way we practice collective care, reciprocity, and shared responsibility for the world we are trying to build.
